Leo XIV appointed today two auxiliary bishops in the Archdiocese of Caracas, Venezuela. Monsignor José Manuel León (born 1966 in Barquisimeto) is a Passionist Father, was ordained to the priesthood on 19 March 1994 and is currently a parish priest. Pictured Monsignor José Dionisio Gómez Gouveia (born 1966 in La Guaira) is a diocesan priest of Caracas. He has served in multiple parishes, as a prison chaplain, and in seminary formation. "Beyond Traditions and Rites" Monsignor León's current parish Preciosísima Sangre is in eastern Caracas, near Petare and a slum area. His homilies are published on ParroquiaPreciosisimaSangre.wordpress.com. He uses a Francis-style pastoral tone with the buzzwords mercy, welcome, and fraternity. In a reflection from 8 July 2023, he wrote that Jesus moved beyond a religion sustained “only in traditions,” criticizes a faith reduced to rites, and says it is easy to “wash hands” while failing to extend them “for fraternal embrace.” He also attacks attachment …تېخىمۇ كۆپ
We have just learned about another reason why PM Marc Carney's Liberal government has little respect for the working Canadian. The government has decided to appeal the Emergencies Act Ruling to the Supreme Court. Yes, the government wants the higher court to rule that no rights were violated when the former PM Justin Trudeau used the Emergencies Act in 2022 to forcibly bring an end the Truckers' Freedom Convoy. Remember the largely peaceful protest, that made international news? It was about getting rid of vaccine mandates and lockdowns. The government didn't like that. Even though we now know that the experimental was not "safe and effective" and as claimed by public health authorities and the governemnt. The government was wrong about the shot. In fact, the so called "vaccine" has harmed many Canadians and some have died as a result. No Matter. The Liberals insists on pushing the lie that they were right in declaring martial law against the truckers. This appeal comes after the …
Emma DiamondStreak Jackson Why on earth have Cadbury decided to add palm oil to their chocolate? Who comes up with an idea like that and thinks it's a good one? There are ongoing scientific concerns about palm oil increasing the risk and spread of cancer cells! It makes me so sad looking at these rows of easter eggs knowing that unsuspecting parents will be giving them to their kids. Both Tony's and Divine chocolate are palm oil free if anyone wants an alternative, healthier option. copied.. …
Baroness Falkner has highlighted that abortion investigation statistics don’t distinguish between men and women. But conviction data does, and it shows the majority of those convicted for abortion offences are men. The real issue here is coercion, not women.
Wed Mar 18, 2026 - 12:00 pm EDT VIENNA (LifeSiteNews) — A Catholic church in Vienna’s largest cemetery will host a profane “silent disco” event with the approval of the parish priest. The Viennese Cemeteries (Friedhöfe Wien) describes the event as follows: “Experience a silent disco in one of Vienna’s most impressive Art Nouveau buildings: the Church of St. Borromeo at Vienna’s Central Cemetery. On April 17, the historic church interior will be transformed for one evening into an atmospheric, tranquil, yet energetic dance venue.” The event will feature two DJs performing simultaneously on two different channels. According to the organizers, the musical lineup includes house, electronic, hip-hop, and pop music, as well as alternative, indie, and rock, along with “musical highlights that tie in thematically with the Central Cemetery or cemetery culture.” Tickets to the event cost 15 euros (just over $17). “Without compromising respect and reverence for those who are grieving, we …
Fr. Robert Prevost (Leo XIV) has participated in a Pachamama “Mother Earth” ritual while attending an Augustinian theological symposium in 1995, reports LifeSiteNews.com (March 18). The scandal was uncovered by Fr. Charles Murr. Three Augustinian priests have confirmed to him that Robert Prevost is clearly visible among the kneeling participants in the photo. None of the three were present at the 1995 ritual itself. They recognized their confrere from the published image. The photo appeared in the proceedings of the “Lectura de San Agustín desde América Latina” (São Paulo, January 23-28, 1995), published as the book Ecoteología: Una Perspectiva desde San Agustín (México, 1996). The official caption beneath the photo of kneeling participants reads: “Celebration of the Rite of Pachamama (Mother Earth), which is an agricultural rite offered by the cultures of the South-Andean region in Peru and Bolivia.” More Photos From Same Symposium The same volume includes a large group photograph …تېخىمۇ كۆپ
I got to the Andes in Argentina a few years after this. Among the clergy the general pastoral practice was to treat the Pachamama as a superstition that needed to be eliminated. Even the left leaning clergy treated it with a paternalistic tolerance. It was an anthropological phenomenon of simple people a few generations removed from hunting and gathering. The missionary would play along with local customs like a dad plays pretend with his 4 year old talking to his stuffed animal. Often the locals would play with it like a good luck charm. Very few would take it seriously. Feminists and communists would feign to take it seriously just because it was transgressive. They were not for the Pachamama but were against male-normative, sexist society.
Is this a surprise? I mean, Prevost never denounce those worshiping pachamama in the Vatican the 1st time, as a matter of fact MOST priests didn’t... This is why we need to pray for priests for them to shake off their cowardice and omission.
“Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war.” — Psalm 143:1 (Douay-Rheims Bible Slowly, quietly, in the hush of prayer, From the darkness, the cross emerges clear. A bright glow lights the room, The time of penance draws to its end. The merciful waiting, Lord, with which You blessed us, Now ends with relentless might. Thrown into fire, I fought, In cold silence, I waited, Like steel, I was tempered. Slowly, quietly, in the hush of prayer, Justice raises the sword.
Vatican Nuncio brings aid and hope to Southern Lebanon - ShalomWorldNews Amid the lingering shadows of conflict in Lebanon, Archbishop Paolo Borgia, Apostolic Nuncio to the country, traveled to the Christian villages of the south on March 13, carrying both humanitarian aid and a message of solidarity from the universal Church. Before beginning the mission, the archbishop stood in prayer at the funeral of Fr. Pierre El-Rahi, a Maronite priest who lost his life while assisting an injured parishioner—an act of pastoral courage that deeply moved the local faithful. Following the funeral, Archbishop Borgia traveled through communities scarred by war to personally oversee the delivery of humanitarian aid provided by the French Catholic charity L’Œuvre d’Orient. Dressed in his cassock, sash, and zucchetto, the nuncio did not remain a distant observer. Instead, he joined volunteers in unloading boxes of essential supplies, quietly sharing in the relief effort. Images of the Vatican envoy …تېخىمۇ كۆپ
Zionists want southern Lebanon because it is a land that our Lord walked. They have the Holy Land already. They think they can conquer Him this way. They don't understand the Sacramental Presence of our Lord where He is potentially infinitely more present. ( "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29)).

Mechanical Lenten Passion of Our Lord Jesus scenes, St Moritz The 'mechanical fasting crib' in the tomb chapel of St. Moritz is a wonderful unique piece. Built in the middle of the 19th century, it was designed by a watchmaker who also developed the driving mechanism. Today, electric energy not only drives the 'Mandl'n', which represent the Passion of Christ, but also the angels rushing by. Werner Kraeutler
