Bishop Gerard de Korte of’s-Hertogenbosch has responded critically to the open letter against the failed synodal project by his auxiliary bishop Rob Mutsaerts. Monsignor Mutsaerts did not consult him about this lengthy open letter, Bishop De Korte told Nd.nl on August 14. For him “a personal letter to the pope would have been the proper course of action, if Mutsaerts truly does not wish to sow division, as he writes”. Bishop de Korte added: “After all, a bishop or auxiliary bishop has his own means of communicating with the Bishop of Rome”. And: “In any case, at the request of Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV, the Dutch bishops will continue building a synodal Church. On Friday, October 16, the bishops and Dutch religious orders will organize a national day of inspiration on synodality, at the St. John’s Centre in ’s-Hertogenbosch.” In 2020, because of differences with the liberal Bishop de Korte, Monsignor Mutsaerts stepped down from virtually all of his administrative duties in the …More
[St. Ambrose – IV Century AD; born: Augusta Trevrorum, Gallia Belgica, Roman Empire/died: Mediolanum, Italia, Western Roman Empire – Resting Place – Crypt of Basilica Sant’Ambrogio – One of the Great Four Latin Church Fathers – Doctor of the Church – made Bishop by popular acclamation] Chapter VIII ~ The sacrament of the Eucharist prefigured in Psalm xxiii., in the incident of Melchizedek, and in the manna and water miraculously supplied to Israel in the wilderness. 43. Rich with these adornments the cleansed people hastens to the altar of Christ, saying, And I will go unto the altar of God, even unto the God that maketh glad my youth ; 1 for, putting off the slough of long-standing sin, renewed in the youth of the eagle, she hastens to approach that heavenly banquet. She comes, therefore, and seeing the holy altar duly ordered, cries and says, Thou hast prepared a table before me. z She it is whom David represents as the speaker, in the words, The Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not …More
" For the synagogue derived its origin from the law of Moses. But Abraham is far earlier; who, when he had won the victory, defeating the enemy and recovering his own nephew, was then met by Melchizedek who brought forth the gifts which Abraham received with reverence. It was not Abraham that brought them forth, but Melchizedek, who is represented as being without father, without mother, having neither beginning of days nor end, but like unto the Son of God ; of whom Paul says in the Epistle to the Hebrews that he abideth a priest continually, who in the Latin version is called King of righteousness, King of peace."
On August 13, Leo XIV appointed Umberto Longo, Director of the Italian Historical Institute for the Middle Ages in Rome and Professor of Medieval History at the secular Sapienza University of Rome, as a member of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences. The online footprint of Umberto Longo repeatedly places that name - and, in later cases, an identifiable Professor Longo - within the institutional environment of Italian Freemasonry and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. The examples span a decade. 2013 - Scottish Rite, Lazio: The Masonic publication LOGOS identifies a certain “Fr. Oratore Umberto Longo 4°” as an officer of the Loggia di Perfezione Maestri Segreti “Giano” in Rome. The publication introduces a series of texts under the heading: “Le Tavole del Fr. Oratore Umberto Longo 4°.” The abbreviation Fr. is used throughout for Fratello - “Brother” - while the number identifies the Scottish Rite degree. More importantly, the issue contains the official 2013 officers …More
So, did Leo XIV appoint a Freemason? There is strong documentary evidence that a Roman man named Umberto Longo occupied Masonic positions in 2013–2014. There is unquestionable evidence that Professor Umberto Longo subsequently participated in events (2019, 2022) connected to major Italian Masonic institutions.
Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch wrote on August 13 an open letter to Leo XIV. Main phrases. - Does the synodal process actually help bring souls closer to Christ and to eternal salvation? […] What has all this actually yielded? Not: how many meetings were organized? Not: how many reports were written? Not: how many people participated? But: has faith become stronger? Has Christ been proclaimed more clearly? - When one asks such questions, it is impossible to consider the Synod a success. - What once began as a 2021–2024 synod threatens to become a permanent form of governance. - The classical synod was a means. In contemporary synodal discourse, synodality threatens to become an end in itself. - The Church is not a conversation but a received reality. For the Church does not begin with our dialogue. It begins with Christ. - Christ did not set up a discussion group. He called apostles. He gave them authority. He sent them out to proclaim, baptize, and teach. - Truth is …More
[St. Augustine of Hippo – IV-V Century AD; born: Thagaste, Roman Empire/died: Hippo, Western Roman Empire; (aged 75) – Church Father – Doctor of the Church – Blessed; Resting Place – Pavia, Italy] Chapter VIII 20. In this sentence the meaning is twofold. We must deal with it in both ways. For He who says, "I am not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill," means it either in the way of adding what is wanting, or of doing what is in it. Let us then consider that first which I have put first: for he who adds what is wanting does not surely destroy what he finds, but rather confirms it by perfecting it; and accordingly He follows up with the statement, "Verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one iota or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." For, if even those things which are added for completion are fulfilled, much more are those things fulfilled which are sent in advance as a commencement. Then, as to what He says, "One iota or one tittle shall …More

Dominican Sister Throws First Pitch at White Sox Pope Night | Shalom World News Dominican Sister Mary Jo Sobieck threw the ceremonial first pitch Tuesday at the Chicago White Sox’s “Pope Hat” night honoring Pope Leo. Sister Mary Jo became a viral sensation in 2018 when she bounced the ball off her arm before throwing a strike at a White Sox game. She returned to the mound seven years later as the team celebrated its Chicago-born fan who became pope. The pregame ceremony also included a $14,000 donation from White Sox Charities to the Midwest Province of the Order of St. Augustine, the religious order Pope Leo once led.
Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira An informal lecture gave on August 13, 1965 (*) The Assumption(Taddeo di Bartolo) In ancient times, people referred to the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady as the feast of Our Lady of Glory. They understood that the Assumption of Our Lady was not merely the physical event of her leaving this earth after resurrecting by virtue of her Divine Son and being taken to Heaven: it was also her glorification. After her humble and unknown life on this earth, Our Lady had a greater role after the death of Our Lord as Queen and Mother of the Catholic Church. Our Lady went through all kinds of suffering, anguish and humiliations on earth. It is fitting that Our Lord glorified her in the eyes of men through her assumption. She was glorified with this unique privilege whereby a merely human creature is taken to material heaven by the angels. From there, she certainly was taken in a mysterious way to the physical and immaterial heights of the heavenly Paradise, where she …More
Bishop Vicente de Paula Ferreira, 55, of Livramento de Nossa Senhora in Bahia, Brazil, criticized the consecration of dioceses to St. Michael the Archangel. In an August 8 social-media post, Bishop Ferreira wrote: “Are there theological justifications for consecration to St. Michael? One consecrates oneself to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Isn’t the devil that is being fought rather imaginary? The greater exorcism should be of homophobia, femicide, racism, crimes against Indigenous peoples — of this legion of evils.” Ferreira’s comments came as dioceses across Brazil have been participating in “The Great Reconquest,” an initiative promoted by the Hesed Institute centered on devotion and consecration to St. Michael. According to ACI Digital, 34 Brazilian dioceses had been consecrated to St. Michael by August 11. #newsJjefxvmkpq

Original Sin, Man’s Greatest Vulnerability, and Divine Order The Fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden reveals enduring truths about human nature, divine order, and spiritual vulnerability. Man’s greatest moral weakness is the voice of women, a vulnerability Satan immediately recognized and exploited. Scripture and the Church Fathers also teach that God established a natural order: men are to lead, and women are to submit and follow. When this order is inverted, sin, disorder, and suffering follow—a principle visible from Eden to biblical history and the New Testament. --- I. Adam and Eve: The Archetype of Male Leadership and Female Submission Genesis 2:18–24 establishes the relational and moral order of creation: > “The Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him… Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Adam was created first, entrusted with stewardship over …More
You also refuse to acknowledge that it's a privilege to be Chosen By GOD to be the one to bring about THE TRIUMPH OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY! Amoung other beautiful things. You have not only denied all the things The Blessed Mother does for the soldiers but you turned it into your propaganda. How many posts did I and others post how the lives of Russian soldiers were being saved by a picture of The Blessed Mother. Helmets shot and the bullet stopping at her picture. Not a mark on the picture. But the bullet went straight through the helmet. Or the tankers, those who carried a thin book or in a pocket of their vests. So many of them. And those miracles are only part of what's going on in Russia. Where are our miracles? Our Protection? Why are we getting slammed with every bad thing? Shootings across America, food shortages and food prices so high people can't even eat. Or have to decide, eat or pay rent or utilities? Our gas prices so high that people are traveling less and less. …More
